This is the DS18B20 Water Proof Temperature Probe – Black (1m)  designed specifically for the DS18B20 sensor. This probe helps you to measure something far away, or in wet conditions. Because they are digital, there won’t be any signal degradation even over a long distance. The Stainless steel tube encapsulation protects the probe from being waterproof and moistureproof thus prevents rust. The 3-wire digital temperature sensor fairly precise ±0.5°C over much of the range. Hence the temperature can be measured with a precision of 0.0625 C. It can give output is digitally accurate to 12 bits of precision from the onboard digital-to-analog converter. This module works easily with any microcontroller using a single digital pin via the dedicated 1-wire protocol. As a result, several sensors can be connected only through one common wire to Arduino. Each one has a unique 64-bit ID burned in at the factory to differentiate them. This is the latest DS18B20 1-Wire digital temperature sensor probe operates with 3.0-5.0V systems t a providing  9 to 12-bit precision, at a Temperature measurement range of 5-55C to +125C, be accurate to 0.5C. When using with microcontroller put a 4.7k resistor to the sensing pin, required as a pullup from the DATA to the VCC line.
